Free access to music journals: I’ve got the code!

During yesterday’s board meeting of the Journal of the Society for American Music, I learned a couple of fabulous details about our journal and about Cambridge University Press, which publishes JSAM.

1. Cambridge has a fabulous on-line platform that has been created with mobile devices in mind: download times are fast and navigation is simple. If you are a member of the Society for American Music, you can sign in and have access to JSAM on this mobile device and read JSAM anywhere.

2. Cambridge is offering free access to all of its music journals for a limited time, and I’ve got a trial code to share with you. To sign up for a 30-day trial:

  • visit journals.cambridge.org and sign in or create a new account
  • select “free trials” from the My Cambridge Journals Online drop-down menu
  • Enter the trial code sonneck2015 and hit OK

JSAM is there for you to browse during your trial, but there are other great titles, too, such as Popular MusicTwentieth-Century MusicCambridge Opera JournalBritish Journal of Music EducationEarly Music History, and Dance Research Journal. Enjoy!
