And now it’s time for week 3 of our pre-AMS lineup! This week we are featuring…ME. 🙂 Take a look at my essay, and feel free to leave a comment or question!
See you at #AMS2015!
If you’re just joining us, here’s the background of #MusicologyEverwhere:
Back in March, I announced the good news that I will be chairing a panel about #AltAc (Alternative to Academic) careers at the November meeting of the American Musicological Society in Louisville. Our panel is called “Public Musicology: Career Paths Alongside and Outside of the Academy,” and it meets on Friday, Nov. 13, at 12:15. Please bring your lunch and your questions!
We–the members of the panel–have decided on an unconventional presentation for our panel. We’re posting our presentations in advance so we can devote the actual session time to discussion and Q&A. To make our presentations widely available, we’ve loaded them to our own website, and we’ll be featuring a new panel member each week until the conference. We encourage you to share these pages widely and to join the discussion now: you can either leave a comment on our presentation pages, or you can tweet to #MusicologyEverywhere. We’ll make sure to address FAQs during our session.
